Replacement Parts and Filters We carry a full line of replacement parts and filters for most water filtration systems, including reverse osmosis filter systems, water distillers, and some water coolers, for the "do-it-yourselfer" (although some special tools may be required).

Filter Change Service
We charge $49.95 per visit to service Residential filter systems, plus the price of filters and parts in necessary. We also service office and businesses for $54.95 per visit plus filter and parts. Some of the brands and manufacturers and filter systems we have previously worked on include:

Distiller Services
We also service Water Distilling equipment from most of the popular distiller manufactures including Polar Bear, Precision, Durastill, Dolfyn, Pure Water and more. We also stock a number of different elements, gaskets, seals, reset switches, micro-switches, solenoid valves and much more. As well to clean your distiller we sell an acid descaller product which will make your equipment sparkle again. We also stock loose charcoal carbon, and a number of different inline filters to reduce chlorine, scale and sediment. Our main brand of inline filters are from omnipure, which we sell in 6 inch and 10 inch filter configurations.

Cleaning Services
A water cooler cleaning service is also available in Calgary and surrounding areas. As well we do repair most North American made coolers on the market today. Call for details.

Water Testing
Water Solutions offers the following water tests for free. Click on a test name to display more information about it.

• Total Dissolved Solids
  A Total Dissolved Solids test is commonly called a TDS test which determines the dissolved solids that are in your water. This is needed to determine the performance of your Reverse Osmosis Membrane, which is the intregal part of your reverse osmsosis drinking water system. For example, Calgary TDS varies between 140-180 ppm. Typically good performing home RO membranes remove between 92-98% of all dissolved solids. Thus 160 TDS X 95% removal (1 - 0.95 = 0.05) = 8 ppm TDS.
• Hardness
  Hard water is water that has high mineral content (in contrast with soft water). Hardness tests measure the total amount of calcium and magnesium in the water measured in ppm or gpg. Calgary hardness varies from 14-16 gpg. This is considered very hard water.
• Iron
  When the iron level in water exceeds the 0.3 mg/l limit, we experience red, brown, or yellow staining of laundry, glassware, dishes, and household fixtures such as bathtubs and sinks. The water may also have a metallic taste and an offensive odor. High iron levels can cause water system piping and fixtures to become restricted or clogged. Iron tests determine the type iron filter needed to rid you of staining and/or smell.
• Chlorine
  Chlorine test is used to determine the total amount of free chlorine in water. We normally provide these tests to determine the effectiveness of Carbon filters.
• PH
  PH indicates the acidity or alkalinity, or basic, is known as the pH value. A pH value of 7 means a substance is neutral. The lower value indicates acidity, and a higher value is a sign of alkalinity.
